Synopsis

By the third decade of the new twentieth century, Christians in Russia were struggling under the growing oppression of an atheistic government that became less and less tolerant of any expression of faith.  In time, teaching religion to anyone under the age of eighteen it became a criminal offense.  Many Christians endured cruel persecution.  Eventually, countless numbers of them -- unyielding in their faith -- were killed because of their commitment to Jesus Christ.

Our story unfolds in a rural Russian Village amidst the oppression of those times.  In that darkness, hope still shines in the modest home of a Christian family as they prepare to celebrate Christmas eve.  The birth of a lamb leads them, and each of us, to ponder the implications of a similar birth many years earlier -- the birth of Jesus Christ -- the true Christmas Lamb.
